Tomorrow is Pre-drywall

So we are scheduled to have our pre-drywall meeting tomorrow at 11am. There is a part of me that is super excited we are at this stage and the other is impatiently waiting for the house to be finished.

In preparation for our pre-drywall we had our independent inspector out and he saw very few and importantly minor issues. He has done many inspections of Ryan Homes new builds over the years and he said they have shown remarkable improvement from 8 or so years ago.  He also commented that the quality of construction and materials (the housewrap, water membrane, etc.) was better than some custom homes he has recently inspected.



That made us feel a lot better because as all of us know who have googled "Ryan Homes", they have had some issues in the past.  I also attribute the quality to our PM Greg who has done a good job overseeing the subcontractors and addressing any concerns and issues that we have had.  We will also be using our inspector for a final walkthrough at the end. With all that being said, Insulation was scheduled for today and all the drywall was delivered on Tuesday.

We plan to lock our rate soon and expect to do the pre-settlement walk through June 13th (or as I am hoping a little early ;-))
